CLOUD KENT
Born in New York.
Built by Faith.
Cloud Kent is the artist name of Kenneth J. Gomez — a New York-born Spiritual Neo-Pop Expressionist Painter whose work sits at the intersection of street culture, spiritual testimony, and fine art tradition. Raised on hip-hop, graffiti, and the King James Bible, Cloud Kent paints characters, symbols, and statements that carry the weight of lived experience and the light of divine purpose.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10
Mr. Amor — New York City
Mr.
Amor
Created 2012 — Heart Surgery 2015
Before the diagnosis. Before the hospital.
Before anyone knew there was a problem with his heart at all — Cloud Kent drew a heart.
In 2012, three years before a life-altering surgery, God planted an image in his mind: a cartoon heart walking through the world. Mr. Amor was born on paper — bold, fearless, alive.
Then 2015 came. The surgery. The scar. The revelation.
Mr. Amor was not created after the heart problem was discovered. He was drawn before anyone knew. A prophecy in ink — God showing Cloud Kent his own story three years before it happened.
In 2015, Cloud Kent had open heart surgery. He woke up changed — not just physically, but spiritually. The art that followed wasn't a new direction. It was a confirmation. Everything he had been making, every character, every color field, every bold statement — it had all been preparation for the work that would come after the scar.
